Eel River Brewing Company is unique for its distinction in being the country's first Certified Organic Brewery. In 1999, with a bright vision for the future, the Vivatson's broke new ground by producing ERB Co. Certified Organic Amber Ale as their first certified organic. Currently, Eel River Brewing Company has four distinctive ales that are all certified organic! Eel River Brewing Company, located on the banks of the Eel River, was built on the site of the historic Clay Brown Redwood Mill, in the heart of California's Redwood Country. The brewpub, established in 1994, is owned and operated by Margaret and Ted Vivatson. The pub sports a 30 foot long bar made entirely from recovered historic Redwood and Douglas Fir, and features the largest beer garden on the North Coast with seating for 100 people. The restaurant serves up generous portions of pub-fare, seafood and our own brewery raised beef.

Samuel Smith's Brewery at Tadcaster was founded in 1758 and is Yorkshire’s oldest brewery. Samuel Smith is one of the few remaining independent breweries in England, and further is the last to utilize the classic Yorkshire Square system of fermentation solely in stone squares. The rich Samuel Smith strain of yeast at The Old Brewery dates from the early 1900s. Hops are hand-weighed by the master hop blender, and the brewing water is drawn from a well sunk over 200 years ago. All Samuel Smith beers are vegan products, registered with The Vegan Society, as seen here. Samuel Smith's Organic Beers can be accessed on the internet at this location.
